Rise Above

Artist

Ryan (Yanoe) Sarfati and Eric (Zoueh) Skotnes

About the Project

Rise Above is a four-story wall treatment within the public courtyard of mixed-use facility. The visual collage of intertwined arms and hands reaching up. A field of green leaves and abstracted blue shapes hold flying white doves and backlit clouds.  Acrylic panels in two overlapping layers, frame the mural walls. Each translucent panel is etched with a pattern inspired by historic indigenous and African designs.  The etching diffuses the lighting to create a lacy, mantilla effect on the work after dark at the Fairfax Heights Apartment Courtyard, 923 E. Redondo Boulevard, Inglewood CA 90301.
